How to Prepare Fried Oyster Sandwiches
Step1
Heat the shortening to 400 degrees in a deep pot.
Step2
Slice the limes in half and squeeze the juice out of all the halves into a little bowl.
Step3
Grind the pepper.
Step4
Slice the baguettes in half, smear them with the garlic butter and toast them in the regular oven or a toaster oven.
Step5
Deep fry the oysters, then let them drain on paper towels.
Step6
Place the oysters between the two slices of a baguette and “doctor them up” with the salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce, wasabi, tartar sauce, watercress, lime juice and Worcester sauce, using your own taste preferences to determine the amounts used and what elements to leave out.
