Review by A. Schultz for Serta Nightstar Extra Firm Crib Mattress Rating: We bought this mattress to avoid any chance of sids, and it certainly is extra firm. Unfortunately the perimiter wires that keep it so firm won't flex inwards in the corners.
The Delta Eclipse crib our parents bought us(Stunning!) has metal hangers suspending the mattress bed(support). They're bent in such that they won't let the mattress lay fully flat because it jabs the mattress corners up. Although the width and length were exact, with no gaps.
We'll be returning it via ups(Kudos to Amazon for their easy print return shipping labels).
Probably buy a foam core mattress for 3 times this price...
If no part of your crib structure extends into the mattress footprint I would definitely use this mattress.

Review by Leah Lopez for Serta Nightstar Extra Firm Crib Mattress Rating: I originally ordered this product at the beginning of August or end of July and received my mattress in record time. Once it was out of the package I noticed that the back of the mattress had raw edges around the binding where the binding was fraying and looked like someone had actually cut into the binding while finishing off. I reported the issue to Amazon and they quickly sent me a replacement and covered the return costs. I got the second mattress again in record time and discovered the same issue on the back. To save Amazon the expense of the return I contacted LaJobi to resolve the issue. They sent me a second replacement and to my dismay same issue. At this point I'd seen three of the same mattress with frayed or raw binding edges on the back side. While both Amazon and LaJobi were accommodating I'm disappointed that I couldn't get the mattress that I wanted in the condition I was expecting. Will never buy this brand again unless I get it at a store where I can check for defects before purchase.

The company gets five stars, the product gets 0.

I shopped around quite a bit in local stores and found mattresses that were either more expensive or softer than what I was looking for. My kids have been sleeping on them for a while and they can't tell the difference. Their as happy sleeping on a blanket on the floor (supervised) as their crib (un-supervised).

Review by S. Kirsten for Serta Nightstar Extra Firm Crib Mattress Rating: This mattress is just what we were looking for - very firm but doesn't seem too uncomfortable. Additionally, it runs a little larger than the average mattress (we had a different mattress that we got for free with the crib that was a few inches smaller on the side), so it fits VERY snugly in a standard crib. In fact, we have to lift the mattress out a little just to get the sheet on, which can be a pain if you have a crib bumper but is comforting to know that the baby can't get his hands stuck between the mattress and crib. Have already recommended this mattress to a few other parents.
